Vocation & Contact

The Rule and Life of the Lesser Brothers is this: to observe the Holy Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ by living in obedience, without anything of one’s own, and in chastity.

We call ourselves Conventual Franciscans (Greyfriars). Conventual means we live together as a community in the spirit of love and fraternity.
As Conventual Franciscans, our mission is to give witness to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through the manner of our life together as friars.
We gather in the power of the Holy Spirit to worship God and to serve Jesus Christ, each other and our neighbours, in the spirit of St. Francis.
The fraternal communion based on living the gospel is the timely response to our world beset by conflicts and fragmentation.
